About Aaron Backfield
One of the first people you’ll likely meet here at the Brookstown Inn is our Front Office Manager, Aaron Backfield. Aaron, a Winston-Salem local, graduated from Appalachian State University and moved back to the Triad and has been working at the Brookstown Inn for the past 9 years. His favorite part of his job is seeing our returning guests, meeting new people from around the world, and working with his fantastic coworkers. When not at work he enjoys hiking and going to the Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Park with his seven-year-old daughter.

What is your favorite room or space in the Inn and why?
My favorite room is 229. I recently stayed there when we were snowed in due to Hurricane Izzy. It is a really cozy space and looks right out into the courtyard, giving you that perfect view of our snowy courtyard (which is beautiful).
What’s your favorite city or destination you’ve travelled to?
My favorite destination is Wrightsville Beach. I plan on travelling to Nairobi, Kenya soon, so that may be my new favorite spot!
