The Historic Brookstown Inn is proud to showcase the works of local artist Leland Powers throughout our beautiful inn. Powers’ work features iconic and often historical sites from around Winston-Salem and North Carolina. Each work of art is a tribute to our wonderful city. Powers has chosen oil as his favorite medium for painting and continues to paint every day in his iconic photographic realism style. We hope you’ll take some time to look at each of his pieces throughout the inn and be inspired to visit the locations during your stay!

To add even more art to your stay, we invite you to visit our Art-o-mat® machine prominently located in our lobby. These art vending machines are “retired” cigarette vending machines that have been given an exciting new purpose. You’ll find unique and beautiful pieces from one of over 400 contributing artists from 10 different countries.

There are over 100 active machines in various locations throughout the country and we are proud to have one for you to enjoy. The experience of pulling the knob alone is quite a thrill, but you’ll also walk away with an original work of art and a souvenir from your stay at the Brookstown Inn.
