The mill was raised in 1837 and never squared itself off, so the rooms inherited its geometry: brick arches over the doorways, beams running overhead, ceilings that climb from twelve feet to twenty. Some rooms are bi-level. Some hide a garden tub under the eaves. All of them are furnished with eighteenth and nineteenth-century antiques and reproductions, and none of them is quite like the one next door.
Seventy guest rooms, no two alike, with poster-style beds, hand-stitched quilts, exposed brick and beams overhead. Baths have granite counters, marble surrounds and a lighted make-up mirror. Check-in 3 p.m., check-out noon.
Twenty-eight spacious suites furnished with eighteenth and nineteenth-century antiques. Bi-level layouts add a decorative fireplace and a large sitting area, and some include a garden tub and wet bar. Ceilings run twelve to twenty feet.

Pine floors laid in the eighteen hundreds, hand-made brick walls and the mill’s original wood beams run through every room. Ceilings climb from twelve feet to twenty. Poster-style beds with hand-stitched quilts sit against exposed brick, and every room is furnished with eighteenth and nineteenth-century antiques and reproductions, so no two are alike.
Our specialty suites open across two levels, with a decorative fireplace and a large sitting area below the sleeping space. Several add a garden tub set into an extra-large bathroom, and the deluxe suites include a wet bar. Baths throughout have granite countertops, marble surrounds and a lighted make-up mirror.
Every evening from five to seven the Parlor pours a complimentary glass of house wine with a cheese plate, and someone is usually on hand to tell you how a cotton mill became an inn.
Freshly baked cookies and a cold glass of milk turn up each night. It is a small thing, and it is the detail guests write to us about most.
Hot breakfast is served every morning in the old mill breakfast room, and parking, WiFi and the fitness room come with the stay. The front desk is staffed around the clock.
